Chess Instruction at The Workshop is officially back! 

Open to students ages 7 and older. Come join us for another exciting semester of chess instruction in South Anchorage! Through the course of sixteen weeks, students will learn through a newly designed curriculum centered on learning the fundamentals of chess, all while sharpening their focus and analytical skills over the board. 

Each week, students will be challenged through detailed chess education and friendly competition alike. The purpose of this club is to provide guidance and instruction to younger beginner players so that they can grow in their playing ability while seated amongst their peers in a collaborative learning environment. 

Additional Information:

• Chess instruction is every Wednesday and will be held at The Workshop (1120 Huffman Road, Suite 11, Anchorage, AK 99515) from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

• Semester dates are August 19th through December 9th. 

• The cost (To Be Determined) for registration is per student per semester, with multiple payment options available. 

• Classroom capacity is limited to a maximum of 20 students. 

• Each student will receive a complimentary travel chess set included with registration for this class. 

• If your student is new to The Workshop, they will have to make a free account with the venue on the first day of class, as per the check-in / check-out policy.
